WHEN IT COMES TO SHOWING UP FOR WORK, fresh&easy™ isn’t different from any other company — you need to be here on the days you’re expected to work. And you should be at your work area and ready to work at the scheduled start of your workday.
If you won’t be able to make it to work, you should
always contact your Line Manager as soon as possible.
To the extent possible, you should:
• REACH your manager directly rather than leave him or
her a message at least 1 hour prior to the start of your
shift; and
• CONTACT your manager personally instead of having someone else call for you.
Team members who have excessive unscheduled absences, late arrivals, or early departures may be subject to discipline, up to and including termination. Team members will be allowed three approved absences in a rolling six-month period when accompanied by a Doctors note. More than 3 unauthorized absences in a rolling six-month period will lead to a Performance Improvement Plan.
ADDITIONALLY, if you don’t show up for work on three consecutive scheduled days, and we haven’t heard from you, we’ll consider you to have abandoned your job and resigned. Any of these actions will be taken consistent with the requirements of applicable law.
